Cuidiu (pronounced Qui-Doo) is an Irish word meaning "caring support." Cuidiu Consulting's mission is to promote and uplift efforts that provide caring support in our communities.

Cuidiu Consulting is unique because it can provide both the technical expertise of a specialist and the broad knowledge of a generalist to support a range of functions to assist your organization.             CUIDIU GIVES BACK               Gives Over $100K in 2009-2010 

Cuidiu Consulting believes in this work.  Because of this and due to the economy, Cuidiu Consulting has provided over $100,000 dollars in free pro-bono work during these tough economic times.

HARVARD NAMES BROTHERS A VISITING FELLOW

Harvard University's Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at the Kennedy School has named John Brothers a Visiting Fellow.  John will work in partnership with the Center in relationship with his doctoral work, and other academic and professional projects.

2010 CAPACITY-BUILDING GRANTS AWARDED!!!

Cuidiu Grants are designed to "catapult" nonprofits seeking new opportunities for success. Cuidiu awarded four grants for 2010 and our teams have begun working with the following groups: Joubert Foundation, LEDA, Englewood Community Foundation and The Transport Group. 

UPCOMING BOOK PROJECTS!

 

John has just finished one writing project and is currently finalizing another.  The first, cited above, is an chapter on umbrella organizations that will be featured in the reference book by SAGE Publishing, entitled Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations.  This book will be out in September 2010. 

The second is an entire book, by Wiley/Jossey-Bass, will be on change management in the nonprofit sector. This book will be out in the early fall of 2011.

 

LINKAGES

ARNOVA/Rockefeller Foundation pick Brothers to research  philanthropies approach to building the capacity of arts and cultural organizations.

Brothers named a licensed consultant for the Standards of Excellence Institute, which is an exclusive professional development initiative that gives independent consultants the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to work with nonprofit organizations across the country interested in learning about, conducting self assessments and implementing change.

Brothers joins Kellogg Foundation's College of Consultants and Kellogg Action Lab - The Kellogg Action Lab (KAL) is a resource to help improve the overall performance, effectiveness, and financial sustainability of U.S.-based W.K. Kellogg Foundation grantees. Cuidiu will now be providing WKKF grantees with technical assistance!
